Is there an equation or chart listing the estimated power levels for H Production? Power to weight values? Anything ?
Thanks, Asking for a friend...

I think it is a great secret. My BMW 1600 delivers 114 to the ground. This on a reputable engine builders dyno. My car has to weigh 2100 when it comes of the track. Let others chime in and we can get an idea of what the HP to weight is.

My rough approximation is as follows:

EP 8-10:1 lbs/hp
FP 10-13:1
HP Slow. 14-17:1

I never really thought of my car in terms of weight:HP.

My FP car in IT trim is 16.5:1.

With some weight loss I think I can get to 14.7:1
With some weight loss and engine work I think I can get to 13.3:1

My VW is 2100 with around 127WHP .

I have to question the Toyota MR2 with the 4AG engine classed in HP. The weight is pretty high but a short look around the net shows it makes 160 plus crank HP in MOL stock form with simple mods allowed in Prod. Add in compression and a stand alone ECU and it seems to be a ringer. The straight line speed at WGI was clearly 5-6 MPH over the class norm of about 110. Looking at the ride height in the pics also shows it has a lot more lateral grip left in some development.
What is the best method to address this?

Good answer. I have a Toyota also. :)

This goes along with the death of IT as we know it due to having to build the car of the week . Prod is not supposed to be that way, yet here we have a Mazda 2 , Toyota Yaris , and now the MR2/ Corrolla making big power . The 4 AG is the outlier as the Yaris and Mazda 2 are both fast but not overly so.

The MR2 has to weigh 2300lbs, has struts on all four corners, and the 4age doesn't make Atlantic power with stock fuel injection and LP mods.
